HEY DAD, CAN WE TALK?

REAL LIFE. REAL CONVERSATIONS. NO JUDGMENT.

Got a Second?

Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can give someone is our time.

Come as you are. Pull up a chair. There's room for you.

THE HEART BEHIND THE IDEA

Hey Dad, Can We Talk?

Not every conversation needs an answer. Sometimes it just needs someone who will listen.

Inspired by the steady, welcoming perspective of a dad or grandfather, this is a space for talking about life as it really is: family, friendships, growing up, growing older, grief, hope, and everything in between.

We are not a counseling service or a crisis line. We're here to encourage genuine human connection, thoughtful conversations, and reaching out when someone may need support.

THE EVERYDAY CHECK-IN CAMPAIGN

Got a Second?

A moment to ask. A chance to listen.

We want to make checking in on one another a habit—not just when something is wrong, but because people matter. Start with one person and one honest conversation.

01

Notice

Pay attention. Someone's silence or change in routine may be worth a gentle check-in.

02

Ask

“Got a second? How are you doing—really?” Give them a choice to talk.

03

Listen

Be present. You don't need to fix everything or have the perfect words.

04

Follow through

Reach out again. Help them find more support when it's needed.

The Got a Second? Challenge

This week, check in with someone you haven't spoken with lately. Make time, listen, and follow up. Share the invitation—not their private story.
